DEIRDRE SCANLAN
Traditional Irish Singer
An All-Ireland Champion at all levels Deirdre Scanlan is an accomplished solo and ensemble performer and has been at the forefront of traditional and contemporary Irish music for a number of years.
Deirdre was the lead vocalist with Irish American traditional music super-group, Solas and features on five of the band’s recordings. She has toured extensively throughout Europe, the US and Japan.
She teaches extensively both online and in person and continues to conduct singing workshops in Ireland and internationally.
From September 2024 Deirdre will be teaching traditional singing for the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance at the University of Limerick.
